Paolo Montuschi (M’90-SM’07-F’14) is a full professor in the Department of Control and Computer Engineering and Vice-Rector for Digital Transition at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, where he previously served as a Member of the Board of Governors and as a Department’s Director. His research interests include computer arithmetic and architectures, computer security & privacy, and digital transition. He is an IEEE Fellow, and an IEEE Computer Society (CS) Golden Core member. He is currently serving as a Member of the IEEE Awards Board (2024-25), as a Member-at-Large of the IEEE Publication Services and Products Board (PSPB) (2024-26), and as the 2021-25 Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing. Previously, he served in several top positions, including the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Computers (2015-18), the 2019 Acting (interim) Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing, the 2017-20 IEEE Computer Society Awards Committee Chair, a Member-at-Large of PSPB (2015-20), the Chair of PSPB Strategic Planning Committee (2019-20), the Chair of TAB Awards and Recognition Committee (TAB/ARC) (2020-23) and a Member of Periodicals Review and Advisory Committee (PRAC) (2020-21, 2023-24).
