Prof. Hanwen Yu is a Full Professor at the School of Resources and Environment, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China, and an Adjunct Full Professor at the Academy of Advanced Interdisciplinary Research, Xidian University, as well as the Department of Engineering, University of Naples, Naples, Italy. Prof. Yu has authored over 100 scientific articles. His research focuses on InSAR, contributing to advancements in global deformation monitoring and topographic mapping.

He has received multiple awards and honors from IEEE, including the 2022 and 2025 GRSS Transactions Prize Paper Awards. In 2023, he was elected as a voting AdCom Member of IEEE GRSS (2023–2028). He is the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE J-MASS. In 2024, Prof. Yu was named an IEEE Fellow for his contributions to InSAR Phase Unwrapping.
