Description:

This special issue highlights the rapidly expanding intersection of radiofrequency (RF) and electromagnetic engineering with biology, chemistry, materials science, and, more recently, artificial intelligence. These converging fields are enabling new capabilities in real-time, noninvasive, and personalized sensing and intervention for healthcare, environmental monitoring, and industrial biotechnology.

The issue will cover advances in passive and active RF sensing, microwave dielectric heating, microparticle actuation, microelectronic circuits and systems, computational electromagnetic methodologies, and fabrication methods. It will also explore applications ranging from microorganism analysis and biochemical processing to medical diagnostics, clinical therapies, biological research, and noninvasive human health monitoring using advanced radar sensors.
